Apertura Pty Ltd [confirm] (“Apertura”, “we”) runs apertura.com.au. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website and by email, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
The site uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts are served from our own server, so visiting the site does not send information to third parties.
We use your information to respond to your request, to discuss how we might work together, to keep a record of our correspondence, and to operate and secure the website. We will not add you to a mailing list without asking, and we never sell personal information.
The website and our email are hosted on servers in Australia by our hosting provider. Briefing requests are delivered to our business mailbox; they are not stored in a database on the website. We do not deliberately disclose personal information to recipients outside Australia.
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the website and email, such as our hosting provider, or where we are required or authorised to by law.
Please do not send classified, security-sensitive or export-controlled information through this website or by email. If your work needs a controlled discussion, we will arrange an appropriate channel.
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to respond to you and to manage any working relationship that follows, and then delete or de-identify it. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider in line with its own retention practices.
All traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS, and access to our mailbox is restricted. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing taylan@apertura.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We will update this page if our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
